Step up your UX-Game and future-proof your career.

By the end of this course, you will have a comprehensive understanding of all the emerging technologies relevant to UX designers over the next decade.
In order to accomplish this, we start broad and narrow it down as the course progresses. We first take a 30.000 foot view of how we got to this point. We look at the big technological cycles since the first industrial revolution, to give you context and make clear that we are now at the cusp of another big change in how society relates to technology.
We then go down to the 10.000 foot view to give you an overview of all the emerging technologies that will be relevant to UX designers over the next 10 years.
And finally, we go to the ground level explaining the big-picture principles of designing for new technologies.
As we progress to this course we will be working our way through a worksheet with exercises and additional information, in order for you to put it all together and deepen your understanding of this subject matter.
No previous knowledge is required, but this class is especially relevant for UX designers interested in Virtual Reality, Augmented Reality, 3D Printing, Internet Of Things and Emerging Technologies.
If you’ve spent any time at all reading technology blogs, you’ve seen a lot of talk about new technologies like virtual reality, augmented reality, internet of things, 3D printing, Robotics, AI and many, many others.
Meanwhile, you’re sitting at your desk designing screenshots for laptops and mobile phones, and wondering, “Where does UX fit into all of this? Will I have a job in 5-10 years?”
And if you’re not asking yourself that, well, you should, because all of the top designers from Google, Apple, Facebook and some of the top design agencies in the world all agree that UX Design as a job title will die over the next couple of years. In part because UX Design has started to mean everything and nothing at the same time, and in part because the form factors that UX designers design for will no longer exist in a few years.
So if you want to stay ahead of the game, you need to adapt now, or the market will make you obsolete. And that’s what this course is about.
